We’ve created this privacy notice to help you (“you,” we’re referring to all employees, contractors, and job applicants of SoCO Eats) better understand the way we (“SoCO Eats,” “we,” “us” or “our,” we’re referring to SoCO Eats LLC and all our subsidiaries and affiliates) collect, use, and handle the information you share with us. Keeping your data safe and maintaining your trust is our priority.
If you’re providing services to SoCO Eats through or in connection with another company, then you should also check with their policies as SoCO Eats is not responsible for that company’s privacy practices.
This notice does not form part of any employment contract or other contracts you have signed to provide services to SoCO Eats.
This notice does not apply to how we handle personal data gathered about you in your role as a user or customer of SoCO Eats products and services. When you interact with us as in that role, the privacy notice or privacy policy associated with those products and services will apply.
What Personal Information Do We Collect, and Who Has Access?
SoCO Eats collects, stores, and uses various types of personal information through our application and recruitment process or during any relevant professional engagement or employment with us. We collect this information either directly from you or, where applicable, from another person or entity, such as an employment agency or consultancy, background check provider, or other referral sources. Such personal data may include:
Identification, contact information, and related identifiers – such as your full name, date and place of birth, citizenship and permanent residence, home and business addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, and information about your beneficiaries or emergency contacts.
Professional or employment-related information – such as your recruitment, professional engagement or employment information (think: application forms and information included in a resume, cover letter, references, or any information provided through an application or engagement process, and copies of identification documents like driver’s licenses, passports, and visas, as well as background screening results and references).
Career information – such as your job titles, work history, work dates and work locations, employment, service or engagement agreements, appraisal and performance information (think: absence, leave, disciplinary, grievance, and termination records) as well as information about your skills, qualifications, experience, publications, speaking engagements, preferences (e.g., mobility), and professional memberships.
Financial information – such as your salary, payroll, pension or retirement contribution information, bank account and tax information, and any business travel and expense information at SoCO Eats (think: your travel itinerary information, corporate expenses, and SoCO Eats credit card usage).
Education Information – such as academic institutions you attended as well as your degrees, certifications, training courses, publications, and transcript information.
Internet, electronic network, and device activity, device information and related identifiers – such as information about your use of the SoCO Eats network, information, and communication systems (think: user IDs, passwords, IP addresses, device IDs, web logs, and audit trails of system access).
Geolocation information – for device recovery if you use a SoCO Eats-issued device.
Audio or visual information – such as video surveillance and other information relating to the security of our premises and locations as well as recorded presentations that you have participated in and photographs taken at SoCO Eats.
Biometric information – such as imagery of the iris, retina, fingerprint, face, hand or palm, and faceprint information.
Potentially protected classification information – such as race, ethnicity, sex/gender, gender identity/expression, sexual orientation, marital status, military service, nationality, request for family care leave, political opinions, and criminal history.
Health information – about you, and, if applicable, your beneficiaries, such as medical conditions and other information provided in statements of health forms, disability status, health and safety incidents or accidents, sickness records, and health issues requiring adaptations to your working environment or practices.
Your privacy and security are always a top priority, so we work hard to keep your personal information safe. We will only share this data with those who have a legitimate purpose for accessing your personal information under the following circumstances:
Internal Operations – such as employees or qualified contractors of SoCO Eats performing the work described in this notice, including your manager, human resources, as well as other teams within SoCO Eats (think: payroll, IT, legal, and finance.)
Service Providers – such as compensation and benefits providers, tax and other professional advisors, technology service providers, corporate card issuers, travel management providers, travel providers, human resources suppliers, background check companies, and employment businesses (for contractors or agency workers) that partner with us to provide services to you or SoCO Eats.
Partners – such as non-profit organizations we work with.
Business Operations – such as providing another entity (think: potential or existing business counterparty or customer) with a means of contacting you in the normal course of business, for example, by providing your contact details, such as your phone number and email address.
Legal Compliance – when required to do so by law, regulation, or court order or in response to a request for assistance by the police or other law enforcement agency.
Litigation Purposes – such as seeking legal advice from our external lawyers or in connection with litigation with a third party.
Business Transaction Purposes – if we go through a reorganization, sale, merger, acquisition, dissolution or similar event.
